Hon arbetar som forskningsdirekt\u00f6r vid samh\u00e4llsvetenskapliga fakulteten vid Helsingfors universitet. Hon har bedrivit omfattande forskning om post-socialistiska v\u00e4lf\u00e4rdsstater och socialpolitik. F\u00f6r n\u00e4rvarande fokuserar hennes forskning p\u00e5 oj\u00e4mlikhet i v\u00e4lf\u00e4rden i Finland, till exempel p\u00e5 ungdomars mentala v\u00e4lbefinnande och tillg\u00e5ngen till sociala tj\u00e4nster f\u00f6r personer med migrantbakgrund. Forskningens fokus \u00e4r p\u00e5 hur digitaliseringen av socialt arbete p\u00e5verkar m\u00f6tet mellan professionella och klienter samt p\u00e5 hur de digitala verktygen kunde utnyttjas f\u00f6r
